MEP design, or mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design, is the process of installing systems that make buildings comfortable and functional. These systems include lighting, air conditioning and heating, running water, ventilation, and powering devices. MEP design is important for planning, decision-making, documentation, performance- and cost estimation, construction, and operating/maintaining the facilities.
Architectural design is the designing and planning of structures where functionality and aesthetics are the two key elements of the process. The design must be suitable for the experience of the user as well as meet the needs of the client and or project requirements.
Structural design is the methodical investigation of the stability, strength and rigidity of structures. The basic objective in structural analysis and design is to produce a structure capable of resisting all applied loads without failure during its intended life.
